Kathy, and her husband, Steve, a reformed electrician, have been inspecting well over a decade in the Florence/Northern Kentucky, area. That’s the same town where Ken Warden, the new Executive Director of the new Kentucky Real Estate Authority lives and worked. Kathy also served as an officer and director of KREIA, a CE provider. She also is a licensed real estate agent and broker. Her experience and skills will be invaluable in the reorganization, since licensing for agents and inspectors has been in separate silos – until the Ky Real Estate Authority was created. Until now, never would the twain meet!

Ray was among the very first home inspectors in Kentucky, and then one of the first members (and the only two-time chairman) of the Kentucky Board of Home Inspectors. He also was a home builder and active member of the Building Industry Association (we all knew it forever as the “Homebuilders Association”) for many years. Homebuilders are ever present in the General Assembly and will be involved in the reorganization, as will be the Kentucky Association of Realtors (KAR). Today, Ray heads ServiceUSA in Louisville, and actively inspects with his daughter, Sheila, aka “RadonLady.”

Lorri built one of the first home inspection companies in Connecticut, growing it to about 90 home inspectors, before selling it to move to Kentucky.  She and I have already grown the Louisville home inspection business to about five home inspectors, one of the larger home inspection companies in the area.  Along the way, she also was elected President of KREIA, about the time I chaired the 2006 KREIA annual convention (and wrote its business plan).  At the same time, we have built Professional Learning Institute to the largest school for pre-license training in Kentucky and keep expanding it.  Lorri brings unique multi-state licensing and regulation experience on top on exceptional depth in developing home inspection businesses.
